Re: Do you want to live forever? Explain your answer.

My answer would be a bolded NO. Enumerated Explanation: 1.) You'll be eternally lonely. Every time you meet friends and share so many things together and whatnot, they will die someday. You'll be in anguish and misery from losing them. As for your lover, you and your love will live together for awhile, after few decades your partner will die. You'll be in anguish and misery again due to your loss. In effect, you'll get scared to ever have any attachments to anyone; you will dread to ever love anyone because you know you'll lose them someday. 2.) You'll be eternally bored with the world and everything in it. It's like this... why do you think that people cherish every moment of their lives and everyone they know? Because they know that someday they'll return to the earth.. or to put it more bluntly, they know they'll die and become food for the worms. Ok, now, since you'll be alive FOREVER, you'd get bored of everyone because everyone is just the same. And the fact that they'll die anyways, makes you rather not have to do anything to do with them. And since you've already seen the birds and the butterflies for the last 230 million years, obviously you'd go "tsk, again?" Life would seem to be pointless. You wake up, you eat, take a bath, walk around, do whatever, do something else, and then another thing, and then eat, take a bath, and sleep... and you repeat the same process again and again. 80 decades of doing it, well, it's alright, but imagine doing that infinitely? It probably get as boring as hell, mind you. 3.) If you get a very dangerous disease that is incurable, or if you injure yourself badly, you'll suffer greatly and keep that forever. Hey, just because you're immortal doesn't make you immune to sickness and disease. Think of immortality as life without an expiration date. You'll get to live forever, but other than that, you're still a fragile human. Imagine you get an incurable and aggressive strain of tubercolosis and you have to live with that sickness and the symptoms for hundreds of years until they find a cure for it. Or imagine if you got struck by lightning on the edge of a cliff out in the wilderness with no form of contact. You broke your bones, you tore your muscles and ligaments, effectively incapacitating yourself. Unless someone will find you, you'll have to live with them wounds and whatnot. You might get harassed by the creatures there, but since you're immortal, you would lose half your body but will still live. I wouldn't want to put up with that.o 4.) When the time will come that humanity will die off, you'll be the only one left. You'll be lonely and alone. lol There are a lot of other reasons i can give, but i think this is enough to prove my point. Oh, but the good side of being immortal is that you'll be the only one who will see the sun explode and our earth being annihilated. Front row center of an event of epic proportions. But still, i'd rather not want to. 13 incarnations, now THAT'S alright. I bet you never thought about Incarnations, have you? Well, go figure. :disgust:
I agree.I wan`t to stay with my best friends until forever!
Yeah, that would be good. But here's the catch: You'll be the only one who can be immortal. As for everyone else, they'll be worm food soon. If you want me to give more reasons why it's good to choose NO, just tell me. :smoke:
