Despite the fact that my father jumped out to rescue me, he did not reach me before I clinically drowned....luckily, for me, a paramedic happened to be at the beach when this happened. I was clinically dead for about 2 minutes. So....ummm....it's one of those "deep-seeded" fears. Been terrified of bodies of water ever since. I won't even get into a Jacuzzi.
