The 2010 awards show season came to an end with a bucket of sticky green slime. It was a fascinating one, full of surprises, and to some, disappointment. But Nickelodeon’s version of celebrity self-congratulation usually manages to dodge the sort of controversy akin to shows like The Grammys, or The Academy Awards. Let’s just say there is a tad more predictability to the evening than the others. In that vein, folks like Taylor Lautner went home with a few orange blimps—and deservedly so. Another youngster whose name kept coming up is the ever-popular Justin Bieber. One thing I appreciate about the show is that there are only 19 awards that are given out—a major relief from the snore-fest seen at shows like the Golden Globes.
