Set your foreground colour to #363636 and your background colour to #171717. Get out the Gradient Tool and left-click and drag from the top of the canvas to the bottom while holding down shift (will keep the gradient going straight down). 2. The Bars We are now going to be making some bars for the equalizer. Create a new layer (Layer > New > Layer…), name the layer “bars 1″. Set your foreground colour to #f4f4f4. Zoom in to about 800% or 1200%. Using the Pencil Tool make some bars about 3 pixels in width and ranging from 1 pixel to 20 pixels in height. Have a spacing of 1 pixel between each bar. Make the bars in random positions - all over the place :D 3. More Bars Now repeat step 2 (above), five or six times on different layers (eg “bars 2″, “bars 3″). Make sure that there is a variety in the bars throughout the different layers, do not keep them too much the same otherwise it will not look as good in the end. This will take a bit of time, so yea… 4. Outline Create a new layer (Layer > New > Layer…) named “outline”. Using the Pencl Tool again make an outline 1 pixel thick, 1 pixel away from the bars, on the left, right and bottom of the bars. Add some 1 pixel blocks that stick out. 5. Animation Now for the fun part, the animation! Go to ImageReady (File > Edit in ImageReady). Duplicate the original frame six times (click the duplicate frame icon in the frames window). On each different frame have one bar set visible, and set the others to not show (do this in the layers window). Now set the delay time for each frame to be 0.1 seconds. Now go File > Save Optimized As… and save your animated equalizer :) :smartass:If you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment here. I will try my best to help you out. :punk:
