[li][b]Open/run your image editor software[/b] (Ms Paint, Adobe Photoshop, Corel Draw, Paint Shop Pro, etc.)[/li]
(For this example I'm using Microsoft Paint)
[li][b]Paste your screen capture[/b][/li]

[li][b]Do any necessary editing process[/b] (cropping, resizing, etc.)[/li]

The simple way to do it without downloading some crappy programs. 
EDIT:
I thought we could put this at the [b]Tech section[/b]..
But then again, it's [b]a useful guide for members to screencap their profiles[/b].
We could make this a [b]sticky[/b] here and update the title.
Something like "[b][TUTORIAL] How to Screencap Your Profile[/b]" or something else.
So everyone could take notice.

i think its more easier
press the print screen key..its on the F12 button
go to paint
press crtl+v
save!! 
go to [url]www.pixenate.com[/url]
this is an online editor.. you can also edit your pics here!!!
upload the file
crop image
and just right click and save!!

oh my god, it actually works. Hahaha. Yes, it seems as though nothing has happened when you press the button but the comp has actually copied the entire screeen.

im using a laptop and whenever i press the print screen button, nothing happens.. i tried pressing it for several times and even opened ms paint, when i pressed ctrl+v nothing appeared. its as is, its not working, help?

after pressing the key,
you must paste it somewhere (paint, photoshop, etc.) 
nothing would really appear if you would just press it.
i can't believe there's even a tutorial for this.
it's like teaching the typist how to press 'enter' 'backspace' etc.

Check your key board, at the right portion near besides backspace, F12, power, sleep, scroll lock, home, insert, and enter.
