try to right click on a media file..like mp3 or wmp format..then find the "open with" menu..then choose your application..(windows media player)..make it the default player..enjoy!

choose open with then click/put a check mark on the box in the [b]always use the selected program blah blah[/b]

Open ur windows media player. go to options. Check the extension or file types (e.g .mp3, wav..) that you want to play in the media player then press ok. after you have apply it, the icon will automatically change denoting that media player can only plays selected music file types.
i use only nero not to play music because it doesnt supported multiple songs or playlist.
