I just learned that Yahoo is planning to convert the 1GB yahoo mail account holders to get unlimited storage.
I'd rather wait and see though, the asterisk (*) to describe better what "unlimited storage" really means.
Backdating around 2003 (I think) Yahoo mail and Microsoft were offering "measly" 2MB emails and starving the email community with the needed email space. Pushing some users to end up "paying" for email service..
Then there was "google", stormed the gates (not Bill's) offering a whopping 1GB of email storage ( now like 3GB) .. If not for google, all of us must be paying for email service right now , or perhaps , just sticking to plain old
snail mail.
If asked to pick by "principle" , I'm going for gmail
, they did the right thing by bringing a win-win solution to email services .
I still keep my "old" yahoo email addresses.. MSN expired my older accounts .. I'm not coming back .. sorry
