im afraid that something is wrong with my pc... i was downloading sims2 in my limewire a while ago and its always infected with some virus.. and there was a pop up that said there was a system error... and then, my ie opened and there was this pop up that will let me install this systemfixer from bsa.safedownload.com that will make me fix my system coz it said that there are 138 errors.. waaaaaaaaahhhhhhh.... but i didnt install it... im afraid it was just fake... and then, a tab in my firefox it was like from privacytool.com opened and gave me a warning that porn files can be detected in my pc... and to clean this up i should download this application.. duh!.. what ever.. i didnt download it... insted i remember i have hijackthis... so i tried it... but i have a big problem.. i dont know how to analyz it... please, anybody outthere help me with this?.. if there really is an error? this is my log file <">thank you very much

i suspected this processes <">the first two might be one of your installed applics.

if in doubt of a certain filename on your pc, click my sig and search for "Lookup Unknown Files" on my blog.

C:\WINDOWS\System32\smss.exe dude its a killer... do you incountered the virus spread now in YM? its made by pinoy and its unditectable.. so try to update your anit-virus and DL CCleaner....

[b]smss.exe [/b]is is the session manager subsystem, which is responsible for starting the user session. this process is initiated by the system thread and is responsible for various activities, including launching the Winlogon and Win32 (Csrss.exe) processes and setting system variables. The smss.exe file is located in the folder C:\Windows\System32. In other cases, smss.exe is a virus, spyware, trojan or worm! Her smss.exe is clean and i'm sure about it.

btw men your right... what i mean theres progmam look' like smss.exe but its not locating in windows32. like what i said its the latest. thats why i asking him about the virus..

the hijackthis logs doesnt report any smss.exe located in other folder on her processes which means no other smss.exe exist except the legit one. try to read the logs he posted.

neweiz, thanks for the help... im going to try that... but im not really good about computers... and oh, i dont have that virus in my ym..

edit: i already tried it... the first one - it said its usually safe while the second one - the site cant find it.... i just downloaded the uniblue registrybooster and it found 368 registry errors... huhuhuhu... and it will only repair 15 errors for trial...

[b]you have nothing to rip here for this is not the layout and coding section.[/b] @mango juice, have you fixed the processes i posted? after you fixed those processes try to reboot. it symptom persist try to install search and destroy anti spy/adware and always use registered copy of software for freeware has adwares on it. if its hard for you to find an application just drop me a pm. and btw, i'd been in your place when i took the nightrip going to tac and vice versa

most annoiying worms and errors insert them selves on win32 at the backdoor. jsut remember to clean you PCS regularly and updated.

the next time you download do not open a .exe file because it is a virus... but i think your log file is a boot file only...
