In response to this thread and the 'clan' thread posted in this section. (Both of which have been closed) http://theftalk.com/t18829-Friends-in-FriendsterTalk..html I was just curious as to what ever happened about this. I never saw anywhere that the ideas were rejected, but, also, never granted. I think having a 'friends list' or, at least', a bookmark feature would be an excellent addition to this forum. I'd prefer an actual 'friends list' but either one would be a great feature. Anybody else care to comment/support/oppose or enlighten me as to what was decided of these topics?

:arrow: about the link you posted, a member commented that the idea seems similar with the clan thread, and with regards to the clan idea, the egroups was created.

@meng Yes....
In response to this thread (the link i gave) and the 'clan' thread posted in this section. (Both of which have been closed)
I didn't see that the egroups was the result of the 'clan' topic. Thank you for clearing up that part of my inquiry. =) However, it's still not really what I was pointing at. I was just thinking that a 'friends list' of some sort (like at a social network site) or a bookmark option would really be a nice feature so that you could quickly just go to your friends profile to pm them or view their page without having to try and find one of their posts somewhere. Yes, we have the search engine, but even that can be tricky sometimes, especially if the friend has a long username that you don't remember how to spell or whatever. :lol:

Sorry but I just do not get the "bookmark" feature :retard: Why do we need a friends list here, we already have our profiles, egroups, ym list, msn list, etc...maybe I am too old fashion but the more added here the slower the site will become. We already see many complaints about how slow it loads =)

^ Hmm, I must have a super nice computer or something 'cause I never have any trouble with the site loading slowly. It always loads fast for me. =) I guess I'd just like to have the bookmark feature because I don't have all of my Ftalk friends in my YM list (I don't even have all of them on my Fs). The reason for not having them in my YM is simply because I only talk to a few people in YM...and a couple of those people I "need" to devote more time to so I don't want 100 contacts in my YM sending me all kinds of messages. Plus, when I'm sleeping I don't want to be bothered by too many buzzes and IM's and signing in and out as I stay logged into YM 24/7 and I leave my speakers on because of those couple people that I need to devote time to. I want them to be able to reach me at anytime. However, if there are lots of complaints about the loading time of the site, then I don't want it to be any slower for anybody. I never thought about that just because I don't have that trouble, I guess. It was just a suggestion, and more of an inquiry than anything. =)

I don't have any objections with this suggestion though, but i dunno if it is available in punbb.

Thanks for all the feedback in my thread, and especially to those who agree with me. Anyway, I still think it would be an awesome feature 'cause it would make it easier to find your friends here, however, if it would cause the forum to lag then it's not a good idea. Just hoping.
