This is a good code indeed...
May I suggest add color: property?
Because if the color of the text is red and the background is black. The text can still be seen on IE.
Just change the color of the text same as the background.

Remember not all use Firefox. 
In short, the text can still be seen in that browser even if with font:0px.

i used uniform header but with your codes we can change any style of images we want. thanks bro! i will bookmark your topic.
