From my experience [b]avast[/b] is the best so far, I have tried using AVG,Norton.
It detects Viruses so well, even in limewire.

This is like choosing between a Coke and a Pepsi. Yes there are some antivirus that don't do their job properly but all the antivirus that are stated here are good enough and have build their reputation.
For me I go with avira antivir personal. It is not bloated, updates every after 3 days and fast scanning
But as I stated earlier it is a matter of taste...
