very uncanny post, maximizing your tcp ( Transmission Control Protocol ) size settings doesn't mean your broadband/DSL connection will totally boost up to its maximum speed. here are some factor's that can affect your internet speed;
* modem
* internet service provider ( the internet connection plan that you are using. . . well everybody knows that we have to pay to get connected to the internet unless you're just leeching internet connection from a not protected wi-fi connection )
* how many pc's are connected to your LAN ( Local Area Network, the smaller number of pc's connected to your LAN, the better )
and guys and gals, please take note of the following
before tweaking your pc, you should first create a new restore point so that if the tweak doesn't work that well on your pc or if your pc's system just got messed up because of the tweak that you did, you'll be able to undo the tweak. we all know that we can't risk our pc's health, playing defensively doesn't hurt that much.
to create a restore point,
click on start button >>> all programs >>> accessories >>> system tools >>> system restore
and on the system restore window, pick create a restore point from the 3 choices and hit on next.
put a restore point description, then click on create.
