[b]Stressor[/b] - is any factor that produces stress. Its is a factor that disturbs the body's equilibrium. others use the term stress to means any "[i]STIMULUS[/i]" that CORTICOTROPIN-RELEASING HORMONE (CRII) This Hormone stimulates the many changes in the body.
- Can be PHYSICAL, CHEMICAL, PHYSIOLOGIC, DEVELOPMENTAL or EMOTIONAL. Feeling of anxiety, fatigue or illness are subjective aspects of stress.

[b]Uncontrollability[/b] - Degree of control that the person has over a particular event. the
less control a person has, the greater the degree of stress.

[b]Frustration[/b] - Psychological Experience produced by the blocking of a desired goal or
fulfillment of a perceived need.

[b]Conflict[/b] - psychological experience of being pulled towards or drawn to two or more desire/goals, only one of which may be attained.

the ANS consist of two main division

way to the majority culture.

[b]Social Support System[/b] - network of family, friends, neighboor, coworkers, and others who can offer support, comfort.

[b]Social Factors Increasing the effects of stress[/b] include poverty, stressed on the job or in the work place, and entering a majority culture that is different from one's culture of origin.

[b]BurnOut[/b] - negative changes in thoughts, emotions, and behavior as a result of prolonged stress and frustration.
[u][b]Ways to Deal with Stress[/b][/u]
[u]Coping Strategies[/u] - Actions that people can take to master, tolerate, reduce, or minimize the effects of stressors.
