Unlucky protagonist, Jin, uses the trunk of a sacred tree to carve a statue for a school project. When he takes it outside, to his surprise it begins absorbing the surrounding earth and transforms into, hold your breath on this one, a girl! So like all similar setups this guardian deity is pretty pissed that her tree was cut down and lives with Jin while she takes out her anger on squashing bugs....er, cleaning the "Impurities".
Let's see... At first, The OP is unique and entertaining. Nagi's gestures is so 'HNGGG' and hypnotic, and I liked it besides Index's OP. For the introduction and the usual 'boy/girl meets supernatural being' , the goal that is to destroy all the impurities on the shrine greatly reminds me of the show - Natsume Yuujinchou. Without 'baww' factor and homosexual undertone, the show and its setting and characters are rather enjoyable and eye-pleasing. What made this awesome is that the facial expressions and the humor, it made me chuckled for a while. So far, the introduction between Jin and Nagi seems just fine, but it needs an interaction to Jin's friends and people who live on that town. Also, the plot seems mediocre and lacks depth, it really needs some work.
9/10 for this show. I'm expecting more better than the first episode. Can't wait for more characters! Nagi is hot and love. One of my waifu this season!
