when do this thing usually happen? is there particular event that makes your Monitor turn off or it just randomly happen at anytime?
I doubt your video card has something to do with this. usually when your video card has problem, your monitor is turned off while your CPU is still on process and what i usually do is unplug my video card and try cleaning it and plug it again.

it happens anytime... this computer is very old ill try to clean it up tommorow

That's because you enabled your power scheme.
Go to Desktop> right click> Properties> Screen Saver Tab> Under the monitor sec. Click the POWER Button>
Power Option Properties Dialog appear. Power Schemes Tab> Under "Settings for Home/ blah.. 2.."
Select all to "NEVER"
That's it!

when you say anytime, do you mean anytime even your computer is active(calculating instructions like moving mouse,etc) ? power scheme(ScreenSaver) takes effect every time your computer is inactive for a specific period of time. so maybe it is on your power scheme setting. but if still this happen even though your computer is active then power scheme has nothing to do w/ it i think.
