It was a fine day. The clouds were up and the sun was shining still. Another day came. Another day to go to school. For just a naïve girl like me, school day was just an everyday routine until I met a familiar face. I didn’t know if I already saw him before or there’s just something in him that could really capture my attention. Maybe it’s his, strong charisma. Days past but still he stayed on my mind.
I was in our BioLab for my last subject that day. I was sitting in the last chair at the back of the room. Prof asked me about something when a guy wearing a blue striped shirt interrupted our class. It’s him! The guy I met these past few days. I was busy staring at him when our professor’s high-pitched voice cut in on. Prof told him to introduce himself to the class. Surprisingly, he was ordered by our instructor to sit beside me. This occurrence really chilled me up and I was about to collapse. He told me the precis of his life and I imparted mine. We talked for a while and his unique genre really impressed me and in spite of our wide chasm, it was not a dilemma for us. After the getting-to-know each other portion, he asked for my cell phone number and although it’s awkward I also gave him mine inasmuch as he would only contact me if it was related to our studies. I just said that because I didn’t want him to think of something else but deep inside me, it was such a privilege.
I never thought tuld be the gateway to have a continuous camaraderie with him. Since that day, we started to hang around with each other and to meet in our rendezvous. We went to a brand-new I saw a restaurant. When I was about to sit, stationery where he wrote a billet-doux for me. The waiter came bringing the entrée with sautéed broccoli and an hors d’oeurve and of course, with a cognac. And while we were dining, the zephyr accompanied by the cello seized our hearts. And before we left the restaurant, he gave me a white rose as a souvenir. I would never forget that day! That would surely be one of the auld lang syne I would never forget.
Every moment spent with him was truly a memory worth to be treasured. He’s just an average guy but his simple smile can make my day blithe. His voice was never a cacophony to my ears. He made my wearisome day precious. He’s simply the catalyst of my life. An exquisite lad worth to be loved.
