sometimes there are things that are better left unsaid for the good..
but!!
are u sure that the guy's going to be happy with the one he is courting now???
nd how sure are you your just a friend???
i think.. maybe NOW is not yet the time to tell him.... but stay with him if you really love him.... 
at least staying with him you can show your love for him... and never give up wen u know there's still a chance......

listen to your heart,
if your heart will tell u to love him
go love him
and w8 for him to love you back
it hurts but at least you have loved someone
patience is a virtue
maybe the reward for the patience you've waited for him
is the love - the true love
which maybe means your meant for each other.
