i only have nero as my burning software. do i need to reformat the disc. and how to do it.
when i view the properties of the disc it was empty. so i was thinking if it is needed to be set first or reformatted first to be usable.
i hope someone can answer me ...

You need a dvd writer to burn dvd files. A dvd reader can only read dvd.

if you mean DVD9, you need a DVD drive that is compatible to burn dual layer...

okay sir.. thanks for your replies.
now i realize why... my writer is dvd+r dual and the dvd im using is dvd-r dual.
well its really sad co'z its a gift from a xmas party.
