Once there was a girl living a simple life. Her name is Anne. Anne is an obedient, lovable and caring sister and daughter to her family. She doesn’t know where her father is. All she knew is that she was just adopted by her aunt because she was just been left in front of her aunt’s door. The only memory she has left of her parents was a pendant worn by her when her aunt found her. A glued picture of a lady is found inside the pendant. She thinks it is her mother’s picture and hoping that she would still find her. Her aunt has 3 children besides her. Their ages are farther than Anne’s, yet they were really close to her even though Anne isn’t their real sister. Anne loved her known family and was doing her best to compensate them for everything they’ve done for her. She’s now 20 years of age and presently working in a fast food chain. She makes it a point to wear her smile especially in front of the customers and to her colleagues, although tired of her work. She was so friendly that everyone liked her. She’s very pretty, simple, humble, caring and nice. It’s very easy for people to appreciate her. Thus she is so attractive inside and out. There is only one person who is not pleased with her simply because of insecurity and it is Joanne.
One night, when Anne is scrubbing the floor, Joanne thought that Anne would be more tired if she will do another thing. Joanne bearing in mind to make it hard for Anne gets every drink on all the tables and poured it on the floor. Anne was shocked because she’s almost done but then, Joanne messed it up. “Haha, poor Anne. I’m sure boss would be coming and sees you that you are not done yet with your chores. Boss would eventually realize that all of us are good in our individual tasks whereas you are not”. Joanne told her and went outside. Tears started to fall from Anne’s eyes because of what happened. The next day, as usual Anne went to her job and worked all day night again. Joanne was so embarrassed when she saw that Anne was not so much affected about what happened last night. She’s expecting Anne will not be able to make it to work but on the contrary Anne was so hardworking that she continuous to work as if nothing wrong happened. She still is wears that beautiful smile and served each customer diligently. Joanne’s evil intent was even fumed about Anne’s positive attitude towards things. Joanne concocted another evil plan by pretending to befriend Anne eventually gaining her trust and eventually she will desert her. Anne was lured and deceived with Joanne’s plan and treated her as bestfriend not knowing that Joanne is just disguising abut her real intentions that she still treats Anne as her worst enemy. She was very insecure of Anne that she’s always jealous about everything particularly everyone likes Anne.
Joanne continued her pretense, until one day, the grandmother of Joanne who took care of her since she was young, died. Joanne was very much affected about the incident including her work. One time she was serving a customer when accidentally she tossed the serving tray to the customer’s face. Anne saw it and immediately went to the table and cleaned it. Joanne was stunned and speechless so Anne asked her, “Joanne, are you okay?” “Huh? What happened?” Joanne answered. “You threw the tray right on the face of our dear customer! Are you with yourself? What’s the problem?” Anne replied. Then Joanne said, “Really, have I done that? Well um, I’m sorry I don’t…” Joanne was just finishing her explanation when the customer screamed and shouted, “Ah! Who did this to me? Call your boss, now!!” They were all shocked because the customer was very angry so they immediately called their boss and he fixed the mess. “Who have done this disaster?” no one answered… “Tell me! Who?” the boss continued. “I am the one who threw the tray on the face of our customer…” everyone especially Joanne was shocked to know who answered, it was Anne. Anne came to the rescue of her treated friend and shouldered Joanne’s fault. Anne continued, “I’m sorry boss. I was just having a very huge problem right now so I don’t know what I am doing. I’m ready for the consequence.” However Joanne was about to say something but Anne insisted of taking the blame, “No! Shh. I did the disaster. Blame me for that. I was the one who made our customer mad.” Anne replied. The boss told them, “I’ll think about this, Anne.” After everything, all the waiters and waitresses got back to work. Joanne talked to Anne. “Why, have you shouldered my mistake? You didn’t do anything. You’re innocent. It was my entire fault. My grandmother died. I was just carried away. You don’t have to do that, I am ready to be punished.” Joanne told Anne. But Anne answered, “Because you are my bestfriend. I promised to love and I treat you as a sister. That’s the only reason why I did that.”. “But Anne, you need this job more than I do. You are the breadwinner of your family. You’re family is relying on you. I have to clean your name. Come, let’s go to our boss.” Joanne replied and she pulled Anne by the hand towards their boss but Anne resisted, instead Anne pulled Joanne back and said, “Listen to me, Joanne. It’s through. I’ve already done what I have to do. You are my bestfriend. I love you and I am ready to take the consequences for you. Together we’ll live. Let me face this, everything’s going to be alright. Don’t worry.” With tears in her eyes, Joanne embraced Anne tightly and said, “Thank you.” As expected, Anne was fired into the fast food chain. Joanne eventually resigned realizing her huge mistake and about the unequivocal friendship Anne showed towards her. Joanne finally revealed to Anne about her plans and Anne unconditionally forgave her.
They finally became true friends and Anne discovered that Joanne was also looking for her real parents. Anne showed Joanne the pendant she was wearing and to Joanne’s astonishment she actually has the same pendant when she was left outside her grandmother’s house. Joanne has the other half of it which contains the picture of her said father. Anne has the other half of it, which contains the picture of her mother. They fused the two pendants and under it formed a key. They also knew that behind the pictures glued on the pendant was a very tiny paper and written in it is the address of their parents. It came into their minds that they were sisters and so with their dedication to know the truth, they went to the given address and found no one but an old lady. She told everything about their parents and the inheritance given to them. The old lady said that their parents were already dead and the key formed under the pendant was the key of the house given to them. They inherited so much money and they used it to put up a restaurant and together they successfully co-managed it. Joanne and Anne became very close friends and sisters.
