Being popular in school is a ripoff man.
Even when my first day at a new school, they all ask me what's my name...I just say beat it, but my classmates tell them!..and after a month, they're like "oh, hey,there!!" I don't even KNOW them...I prefer being a loner....

...i dance in our stage every der is an activity in our school...

when i was in high school..i became popular when i danced "Only Hope" of Mandy Moore...they even called me Mandy Moore that time...heheh very flattering...
then when i transfered in my other school..i became popular too because me and my group won in a dance contest held in SM north Edsa... i taught also dance in the UN contestants...

its so very hard to be a popular at school/campus because im an officer (vice pres and pres) of an org in our school campus even just while im walking around the campus someone will just call me and say hi even thou i dont know him/her

I wasn't really in the "popular" crowd, but I was well known. (If that makes any sense). I had friends from all the different 'groups', from the jocks, to the nerds, to the emo's, to the cheerleaders, to loners, whatever. I got along with everybody.

It is really easy to become popular. Its getting out of the popularity that is difficult. As soon as you are in, you are in, you can't just get out of it when you want to. Reputations get broken. Expectations of you as an A-Lister gets disappointed and looked down upon. Basically, popularity is a competition. It can get pretty brutal. But, the privileges are endless and that's what keeps someone IN the group. Personal experiences??? maybe
