[align=center]Story: In Japan of 1923, a 17-year-old girl named Takiko Okuda is living with her ill mother after recently moving to a small town. Her father comes home one day (he's never home, as he's a busy novelist), much to Takiko's chagrin. He apparently has been working on something called "The Universe of the Four Gods" and even after returning home, is obsessed with the book. Her mother soon dies and Takiko becomes angry at her father for ignoring the two of them. These feelings, paired with her feelings of loneliness and uselessness at being rejected both in love and by her father, lead her to attempt to tear the book apart. I like tomite because his like Tasuki in Suzaku Warriors and Uruki because his like tamahome in Genbu but Uruki is more handsome..
I like Namame too because he had a sad past..
I think the Genbu Warriors are powerful than the Suzaku..

TAKIKO's father is the one who translated the book..
try to read it it's really nice
volume six is already released.. viz media publishes this manga..

It's not exactly "new" because Fushigi Yuugi Genbu Kaiden was first published in 2003. It's the prequel to the story and is still ongoing though. >_< Is there an anime series already for this?

@joebz: there is still no anime series for FY GK 
but there are drama cds..
@ yuu watase had a vacation cause she was feeling tired, that's why FY GK is slow.. 
and watase-sensei is making a yaoi manga while making FY GK..
@ more info: and i have read from the side comments in FY GK vol 5 or 6 - or Absolute Boyfriend (i don't remember which book i read w/ her side comment) that after FY GK, yuu watase will make the story of the Biakko Priestess "Suzuno Osugi".. i really look forward to it.. And she went to the US. (i think i read this side comment in vol 3 of FY Genbu Kaiden) i hope she visits North America too.. i really want to see her..!

Ah, yes..
I still haven't finished reading the manga but it's awesome..
The couple, Uruki and Takiko is nice.,.
haha.. Uruki is sometimes funny when she turns into a girl..

I think Genbu is much more stronger the Suzaku..
