Hello there. In this tutorial you'll able to learn to put multiple colors in just a single photo :D Here's the image I'll be using for this tutorial.

credits: photoshopessentials :D
Step 1: Adding new vertical guide To divide our photo into four section of equal size, we're going to need three guides on it. Go to View menu at the top of the screen and choose New Guide. This will give you the New Guide dialog box. We want to create vertical guides, so select Vertical; if you like to creat horizontal guides, select Horizontal. Then type in 25 % for the Position Value. after applying on it you'll able to see your first vertical guide of our photo see the image below...

Step 2: Adding the second vertical guide Like what you did in the first step, go back to view menu and choose New Guide. This time, the position value will be 50% instead of 25%.Note: Make sure Vertical is selected for the Orientation option after applying on it you'll able to see you second vertical guide see the image below...

Step 3: Adding the vertical guide Add another vertical guide, but the type in 75% for the Position value in the New Guide. Note: Make sure Vertical is selected for the Orientation option after that, you'll see this.. see the image below...

In that way, we already created four sections of our photo. Step 4: Turning on the "Snap to Guides" Go up to the View menu and select Snap To, then a submenu will appear with the Guides option. If you already see a checkmark beside the word -- Guides , it means the option is already enabled so there's no need to select it. Step 5: Rectangular Marquee Tool Select the Rectangular Marquee Tool or simly press letter M at your keyboard :D see the image below...

With that tool chosen, start we can make a rectangular shape of the photo, just start in the top left corner. Just observe on what I've did... See this image see the image below...

Did you see the cross-like cursor? The one that I encircled it on. That is to determine how is your rectangular shape goes ... Note: So that you can use your vertical guides that you've created awhile ago, follow those end lines on it. So that you can make equal sizes of rectangular shapes :D Step 6: Adding a Hue/Saturation Adjustment Layer and Colorizing Go to your layers palette, click on the New Adjustment Layer icon at the bottom of the Layer palette and choose a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer from the list: Note: the encircled icon is the New Adjustment Layer icon When you already click it, you'll see this ... see the image below...

as you can see aside from adding a new layer on it you also see a a Hue/Saturation dialog box.As of now, you should put a checkmark on the colorize option, located at the lower right side of the dialog box. With the Colorize option you selected, choose whichever color you want to use by dragging the Hue slider either left or right.Click Ok, once you've found the color you want to use. Here's mine... see the image below...

Step 7: Brightness of the photo So that the brightness of the photo will not be changed even though you changed its' color you will change the blending motion of its' layer NOTE: make sure that the active layer is the adjustment layer not the photo. Step 8: Creating a selection for the second section Now click and drag to have the second section like this .. see the image below...

NOTE: make sure that when you're making the selection you make first layer active not the adjustment layer After that follow the step no. 6 and 7 ...for the remaing two sections follow step 5 - 7 :D Step 9: After doing all those steps you'll have four adjustment layer. Now you already colorize the photo, but wait we should turn off the guides.Go to View menu, choose Show option, there will be a submenu and uncheck the Guides option. or just press CTRL + ; here's the result see the image below...

Step 10: Now let's add a stroke around each of the four sections to make it more obvious. Here's how to do it. Make the first adjusment layer to be an active layer then click the Layer Styles icon at the bottom of the Layers Palette, after that click the stroke option. This brings you up the Layer Style dialog box set to the Stroke options. Note: Layer Styles icon has the "fx" symbol In the dialog box, lower the Size of the stroke down to "1 px" then the position will be - Inside. The color will be "black" Step 11: To make things easier for the other adjustment layer we need to copy the stroke layer style Now go up to the Layer menu at the top of the screen, choose Layer Style and then choose Copy Layer Style Now select the remaining three by just holding the shift key by selecting the adjustment layers. As you can see, the three of them highlighted in blue Step 12: Now go to the Layer menu at the top of the screen, choose Layer style and then choose Paste Layer style Now, we're already done :D here's the preview --
