# The 2010 Election is here folks. Over aspiringPresidentiables made sure of that. And there is seemingly the grand race to the highly anticipated event in this already Beleaguered nation. There was erap,who after just getting his new-found freedom, found courage to lock himself another shot at the country’s podium. Manny Villar seems to drown himself a popularity contest with Dick Gordon and Noynoy Aquino as he storms the public with “heroic” campaign ads. and There was Gibo Teodoro, Lakas’ standars bearer and somewhat the heir of PGMA’s hot and cold administration. These presidentiable aspirants seem to own the richest resume and dauntless determination to serve the ailing public. And once again, we are treated with the highest drama in the country’s real soap opera where Juan Dela Cruz is not the Actor, But the unwillingspectator. Yet before we hold our tongues in subtle praise of those we support to lead our struggling country, let us reserve ourselves in silence as we reflect what may occur again after this popular election 2010. let us find time to gather enough courage to stand and vote the people who will not only lead this nation, but also will be willing to serve our countrymen literally and figuratively speaking. This is not to say that we do not have strong leaders in the past. But this is only to strengthen the realization that this country needs support of every Filipino heart and not just the dumb promises of celebrity hero. As we walk into the halls of this year’s ellection, we will vote public servants and not power-greedy politicians in the making. we will choose the people’s representative, not the same people who trampled and stepped on our backs to gain their personal interest . unless we will learn from our past mistakes, we will always be the same again-the same old king of the road and dirty Juan Dela Cruz.
