If you take a look at the blogosphere section, there are only three (3) threads about twitter. Unless the number of threads increases, I think there's no need for a subsection for twitter.

Yea. Hmm, I guess when they add the Twitter subsection, it will only make up only few thread. Seriously, Twitter is only for famous people. Like that? Opinion -_-

To me twitter is really not a Social Networking Site ...more of a blog site..I could see a subsection under blogosphere for sure.

There is nothing that complex about twitter so a category relevant to it isn't that ideal.
Well... you post to announce you status quo, and people follow you if your notions are reasonable. So a topic dedicated to twitter is good enough.
