WHAT WOULD THE WORLD COME TO IF THE GREAT INTERNET SUDDENLY DISAPPEARED?
* Nowadays, the Internet can easily fall into the same category as food, water, shelter and air. Basically, a necessity. We use it at home, school, work... most things/places require an internet connection to function. It is the leading source of communication. Gone were the days when we picked up the phone to call our loved ones from far away, or sending primitive snail mails... We have gotten accustomed to the luxury of being able to connect with people with a click of a button, be it e-mails or chatting online. All of this and a whole lot more make the Internet an essential part of life in this era.
What if we use the Internet SO MUCH that it just......RUNS OUT?!? (Hypothetically speaking, of course) What if one day, we woke up and the Internet wasn't there anymore? You know, you just log in, and you can't connect--ever again.
Signs of impending doom have already surfaced, such as the one where the news said that soon, people are going to be charged per website.
Just think about it, for one second.
What will you do?
What do you think is going to happen to mankind?
Will we survive? Would we be able to revert back to our "ancient" ways of communication?
Will kids once again turn to books for information as opposed to "googling it"?

No internet for mankind!? Preposterous.
Then either a) man becomes unstable, crazy, or depressed, b) some internet-loving geek manages to bring it back again.
I'm kidding. If that were true, then most technologies nowadays would be nothing. Sure, they could still entertain us somehow, but their most of them are used mainly for internet.
Take for example my iPhone: Yeah, the apps are great and having an mp3 player along with it is cool, but I'd lose interest in it if there was no internet.

Students will FAIL in school. [i]*I'm not even kidding.[/i] IDK how people with certain jobs (ex, scientist, teacher) are going to do research and all that.
No, but seriously, without the internet, we'd be like Spartans. Nawh, scratch that.
I agree, we would be living like it was the 1950s.

yea well if teh internet is gone then there's no moar efficient means to contact long lost friends coz of social networks.
no more online chatting.
we can no longer share our photos with everyone.
there's no more FT!
we can no longer play online games.
no more online streaming of movies/animes/tv programs.
no more google, we'll have to buy encyclopedias again and update em from time to time.
on a brighter side, it will lessen the cases of Astigmatism among people lol.
