Maybe your ISP was overloaded with net traffic at that time.

Thanks my friends ...I keeping trying at different times of the day and night but still the same 
What about memory? My laptop only has 3MEGS, when I view the Performance Tab is shows I am using about 1 MG when just connected to the net

BTW can you show us your system through speccy program?
Just screenshot the specs so we'll have an idea if it's the Internet or the RAM/VGA. :3

the facebook itself is the problem not your laptop or something else! probably maintenance thats why it caused turtle behaviour", just observe 2-3days and maybe everything turn to normal!

I found a solution...downloaded google chrome...wow so much faster
