To strikerno14.

do you know why airplanes don't get accidents? cause the engine isn't from a car, it's refueled every time it lands, it has autopilot which just flies around the direction it is given and someone always monitors air traffic so two airplanes won't greet each other in an ugly manner.
Wow! So you made the flying car? You can tell it's a car engine?

Ehem...
"We're really not pushing the performance as an automobile because it is really designed to be used as an airplane that has this additional capability,"
at least airplanes are monitored whereas flying cars would be really difficult
Why are you stating this fact?

Read my quote below your quote below.
And speaking of security... I think they wouldn't sell and mass produce it, if it isn't secure in aviation like those airplanes we see on the runways.
@_@ to make it simple. "they won't sell it, if people aren't ready for it" that's why it is stated on the first post "if you want one". Implying it's optional, not a necessity and the price is still a big turn down.
Will cost $200,000.00 USD if you want one
approx. anyway.
are you right?, also, pls read this:
http://www.carrentals.co.uk/blog/flying…-idea.html although this is the idea i was looking for, i didn't read it from here why flying cars are a bad idea. but still, this article has a good point.
Have you heard of the saying. You have a point, but not the answer? It simple falls to what I said before.
And speaking of security... I think they wouldn't sell and mass produce it, if it isn't secure in aviation like those airplanes we see on the runways.
To lay it simple. The idea is still on the Alpha stage, and we have no right to judge so in all terms... the theories in that blog fails. The fact it doesn't have a decent reply proves it. :3 It was made 2009, now is 2010. Besides, there are these things called progress, learning from mistakes and debugging.
Though in my opinion. The biggest challenge is how to park something that flies. And basically the gasoline price maybe an issue. :3
