We have decided to abide by their wishes, and remove all manga content (regardless of licensing status) from the site. The removal of content will happen gradually (so you can at least finish some of the outstanding reading you have), but we expect all content to be gone by early next week (RIP OM July '10).
So what next? We're not really sure at this point, but we have some ideas we would like to try out. Until then, the One Manga forums will remain active and we encourage all of you to continue using them. OMF has developed into a great community and it would be a shame to see that disappear.
Regardless of whether you stay with us or not, on behalf of the One Manga team, I would like to thank you all for your unwavering support over the years. Through the ups and downs you have stuck with us, and that is what kept us going.
As a certain Porky was fond of saying... That's all folks!
Time for me to go lay down and let this all sink in.

I've been reading manga since highschool and one manga helps a lot in providing good scanlated manga and now... it is going to end, as they say "There is an end to everything!"
well just have to find another great site that will provide us some scanlated manga.

One of my classmates mentioned to us about this msg but at first, we were uncertain to believe her since I know most people are into One Manga. To confirm, I went to the site earlier and yea, found this msg 
Srsly, this is the only source of manga site which I trust

There are still a lot of sites, but for me one manga is one of the best scanlated manga sites that offers a lot of manga series. Others are good but only few manga series. Lets just hope that some sites will still continue to provide scanned manga.

Where am I supposed to read manga now? T.T Well, I rarely read new ones so I guess MS could provide me with my daily dose of manga. (They release the chapters earlier, too.)

Although to be honest, I don't see why they want to abide by the wishes of the manga publishers. I mean, yes, it is somehow a way to show their "respect" and whatnot, but it's not like the owners of OM are gonna stop going to other manga websites to read their fave manga.

WHAT? No srsly. That's so sad. I mean, OM is much much better than Mangafox. Coz Mangafox has a lot of this #@$%^& stuffs that can actually make my laptop explode. >.<
How about 1000manga? Isn't this site related to OM?

Yeah it's their sister site. 1000manga was created by OM to host mature-content series that Google forced OM to remove. I'm not sure if it's going to be closed too, but even if it doesn't, 1000manga pretty much just has mature-content series so there will still be no Naruto, Bleach, One Piece, etc. manga available.
I haven't seen much websites that offer this much manga as OM does (aside from MF but I don't like MF), so I guess we'll be having trouble finding a new one with as much range. :\

They said they're gonna shut it down because the publishers themselves disapproved the manga-scanlating right? Wouldn't the other sites be also doing the same thing? Sorry, I'm confused. XD[/spoiler]

Ugh, I've been reading every single manga from OM. And I don't know which other sites provide scanlated manga. Mangafox maybe? Are there any alternatives?
Why do they have to close OM?

Some sites will be doing the same thing... slowly. I just hope that not all of them will shutdown.

ahh.. i first know it on come lj community, it kinda make me sad since onemanga had been already my favorite online scanlation site (and there is now way i will switch to mangafox, i have some bad experience there). though i don't have to worry about some title being hosted there because i usually download the chapter now but some are hard to find now Q_Q

Yes. indeed! some manga series & chapters are hard to find and OM provide some of those hard to find manga series.
