Well like hugging.. kissing is also a good thing. But of course they're quite different. Kissing is done for showing intimacy. While hugging.. well most people are more comfortable hugging, especially in public.

Hmmm..here..if you love him/her why not kiss? Anyway..as long as you love the person. You could kiss him/her.
