There is a rumor that there is a message board called “Jigoku Tsushin” which can only be accessed at midnight. It is said that if one posts his grudge against someone there, the Jigoku Shojo will appear and take the person to Hell. It may sound like an urban legend, but it is true.
The name of the Jigoku Shojo is Emma Ai. Emma is usually a quiet girl, but when she feels for the client, she turns into Jigoku Shojo. Although it isn’t mentioned in the rumor, it is necessary to make a contract with her. In exchange for her sending the target to Hell, the client’s soul will be also taken to Hell after his death.

But still makes me wonder about sa characters there...
What are the names of Ai Enma's servants...
The emo guy with the eyeball illusion tech (he can see anything! easili can be done by Ai)
The old fart I meant man that delivers venges to Ai Enma also turns into a face on fire. (usable as a wheel in a horse carriage. 
)
The girl the turns into a demon faced racoon 
likes pushing people around
The old woman who keep weaving something behind the closed translucent doors.
The 8 eyed spider that was the care taker also know as the hell guardian.
Also why are the the grudges mostly envolves girls making a request sending someone to hell. 
Hehe...
My fave episode is hellboy vs hell girl wahaha!
A boy with super natural powers v.s. a girl with a 500 years of hatred and grudge (specially to suichiro his old boyfriend) with more powerful powers who dyou you think will win

lol no, it's not. the anime version isn't scary, i dunno with the drama. i'm done watchin this, last year pa. xD there's season 2, but i'm already sick of the repetition. same lines of Ai on every episode. haha!

i really like this anime..i watched all the series of the first season....i'm currently watching JS: futakomori (absolutely cool ) 'coz i'm sooo crazy 'bout it..i accessed the hell hotline..i mean animax is the sponsor not the real one.. the difference is..NO STRAW DOLL (just a picture)..of course, it's not real but it is very awesome..[b]AI ENMA IS VERY COOL![/b]

hey, i love this anime ! i don't know why, but [b]enma ai[/b] looks so cool. yeah, with her red eyes. i think this isn't scary. nice anime !

This anime is really [b]good[/b] actually -- it has already aired at animax asia and i think this is the [u]third or second [/u]time around..
there are [b]spooky[/b] episodes--
but uL get used to it
enma ai's red eyes are very [b]captivating[/b] isnt it
and i already [b]memorized [/b] her [u]lines[/u] so i repeat it with her each time she sends a soul to hell hahahaha

its GOOD! there are episodes that are REALLY spooky! and some episodes really have lots of realizations about life... how people often steps on us... etc. heheh... 
all i can say is.... this anime is one of the [b]greatest[/b] animes i now!

After watching several shows of it on Animax, I got hooked.
The ending of season 2 was sad sad sad... 
(Warning!: one spoiler below.) I mean I loved the show but why should it end that way? Rawr...kinda disappointing. Everyone should cross their fingers for a season 3 (asa. lol.) coz I've been praying for one.. xD[/color]
