I nodded and smiled. he placed his arm around my shoulders and looked at his friends. "Ralph, Vin, Bry, Lance.." he grinned. and I shook my head. "my girlfriend. " I smiled at them. and of course, lance. I didn't get the chance to talk to him, because I've been with Melvin all day long. Finally, the day he'd been waiting had come. His game. His day. His life. I wished him good luck and there, he flew. I finally saw the black car disappearing in my sight. "good boyfriend, eh?" the voice was familiar. As if i was still in my elementary days. I turned around. "mh-mh. thanks lance. about you? is there any girl that.. you know.. " I pinched him. We started to walk. "oh, yeah.. but.." he shook he's head. I saw him frown. "but what?" i turned my head downward to see his face. "she's taken.." then he stood straight and smiled awkwardly. "oh.. that's.. well. there are a lot you know. i know you'll find someone.. " now i'm talkative, and i can't control it. I miss this chats, most of all this boy. "i hope. err.." silence came. "hmm?" See ya" And I flew back to the room. Days passed. And i was dead. I missed him so much. I wonder what he's doing right now. I received nothing. Neither text messages nor E-mails. Thank god Lance was here, covering the sadness in my heart, cheering me up or something like that. We went to malls, carnivals, disco's, and he showed me the most beautiful place he last stepped on here in Philippines. It was good. Stars. My cellphone beeped. I hope it's him. I hope. "tyna, not too late, kay?? take care,i love you. -mom" I sighed and rest myself. "why? melvin?" "no. it's just mom." I looked at the floor. thinking something. "oh.." he said in a very low tone.. " I looked at him with confusion. he sighed. "nah.. let's just go home.. " he smiled at me. But i can see in his eyes that he's sad. I wonder what's that phrase all about. I didn't think about it anyway, i just want to go home. The next day followed. After waiting for such a very long time, i think centuries, he came back. I saw him walking in the hallway. Everyone was there. And i want to be there, you know. I want to hug him. But it seems to be that I can't. men, i thought this would be easy. it's not! "crap.." i whispered myself, shaking my head from left to right. "crap.." the voice followed, echo? lol. again. lance. he's always there. and i always thank him for being there. "ba-kit u-ma-lis ca do-on? an-do-on ca na eh." wow men, i can say he's really fluent in english. di na niya masabi ng maayos yung words. putol putol pa. "i don't know. Crowded." I toyed my ID lace and went to the canteen to buy a drink. "Soda please.." I gave my 100 peso bill to Ate Chang. "two please.. di-to na-lang.." He grabbed my money and gave it back to me. I just grinned. "oh, how's the singing tyni?" "abandoned. I think." we both laughed. and it was true. I've already abandoned singing. sayang? no. it's my choice. "that's bad. but well, none of my business. i'll go now. we'll get late.." He rose up and started walking. I felt alone. That's why I followed him and grabbed his hand, trying to stop him. "stay.." I looked at him. And I saw Melvin in the corner of my eye. He wasn't paying attention at me, though. I let go of my hand. *sigh* "no, we'll be late tyni. let me hold your hand na-lang.
