Have you ever noticed that a lot of Filipino nurses travel abroad?
I also have noticed that they're slowly forgetting their home. The Philippines.
I am one of those people.
Concerning the fact that the way of living is different, there are also lots of sacrifices filipino have to make in order to provide to their family in the philippines from abroad. What I'm saying is, filipinos might not talk about it all the time, they might not say how much they miss their homeland, they might not provide much for their homeland but i'm pretty damn sure, if you're born filipino: you know enough to NEVER forget or be ashamed that it is YOUR HOMELAND and it will stay that way -no matter how many flat screen TV's you've got in your house.
I agree with you, but sometimes Filipinos here in U.S. are really being spoiled much, I know that they really love the family that they had in our country. But there is thing that I don't know how can I explain, but It just like sounds what the thread starter says. Sometimes Filipinos just go with the flow over here in U.S. because of the way we live here, not like in the Philippines.
