Kapag may nakikita akong babaeng may librong nakatakip sa mukha niya, alam kong si Yana na yun. I really want to know her.. pero wala akong connection sa kanya eh. It's weird naman siguro if a guy befriends you with no reason or no connection at all. Dalawa lang yan, he may be really interested or he's just friendly. But more likely nian, he's on the first one. Trust me *winks*. But then I found out that she's a friend of Vince, my bestfriend. Doon ko natanong ang mga bagay-bagay tungkol sa kanya. "Hey.. you know her?" "Yeah. Hindi ko pa ba siya naipapakilala sa iyo?" He asked, confused. "Hindi pa eh." I grinned. "So what's her name?" Tiningnan ako ni Vince... no, he examined my face before answering the question - he never really answered the question. "Ba't mo tinatanong?" he asked me back with hint of suspection. "Wala lang." I smiled sheepishly and went on my way. Nung gabi na.. I buzzed Vince on YM and asked if my YM si Yana. Nakakainis. Lapit ng lapit di naman sila ang inaantay at ang pakay. Then bigla siyang lumabas with her bestfriend. And I guess God was on my side. Her friend went ahead and she sat down by herself at their waiting shed. I can't help but stare at her.. There's nothing really special about her physical appearance. She's average. I mean, yeah, she's pretty.. pero hindi yung mga model-like... hindi yung mga tipo ng babae everyone thinks na babagay saken. She's just Yana. And that's what I like most about her. It seems like she doesn't care much about her looks. And I do believe that simplicity is beauty. Then lumabas si Gabby ng gate nila. She smiled at me, pero ewan ko, wala ako sa mood to smile back. I know what she wants. And she's not just my type. She then received a phone call. I was just observing her from afar. But I can still see the worry in her eyebrows. Tumayo siya and started crossing the street papunta sa alley namen. That's when I decided that was my chance to take a move.. take some courage.. and do it right. "Hey!" I called up to her. Napatingin siya saken.. nagtataka. "Me?" She asked and pointed herself. "Yeah, you." I smiled and came up to her. She was still confused. "Why?" I dont know if this is the rightest thing to do.. but I just have to try. If she refuses.. susundan ko parin siya. so wala talaga siyang choice. "Sabay na ako sa iyo." That's why I ended this sentence in a period and not in a question mark. It's a sort of.. you don't have a choice because I don't care about your answer thing. *winks* She looked at me. Her eyes widened and was changed by confused look. "Pardon?" "Sasabay ako sa iyo." I smiled.. sort of a smirk. Then I ran to her side and started walking. Nagkibit-balikat lang siya as if wala lang sa kanya.. and followed me. I walked ahead of her and I felt that she's just following behind me. Anong iniisip ng parents nito para di siya sunduin sa ganitong oras?! "So.. do you watch Heroes?" I started a conversation. "Huh? Heroes? As in yung sina Wonderwoman and the likes?" Sheeett. How cute. I smiled at her amused by her answer. "So.. kung hindi ka nanonood ng Heroes, Gossip Girl? Errr..." LOL Maybe she watches Gossip Girl instead. Yun yung kinaka-adekan ng kapatid ni Ronald eh. "Hindi din. Sorry." I glanced at her and she was back to a deep thought. At alam ko kung anong pinag-iisipan niya.. kung pano siya makakarating sa bahay niya without ending up at a police station or calling her parents or friends. I smiled to myself. "Alam mo ba talaga kung san ka pupunta?" I teased her acting as if nalilito narin ako sa kanya.. "Yeah." Pumasok siya sa train station at napasunod nalang ako. I smirked. "Teka, taga san ka ba?" She asked. At first nahihiya akong sumagot kasi North and South kaming dalawa. Baka magtaka siya kung bakit ako sumabay when to think of nasa kabilang part ng lugar na ito ang dapat kong sinasakyan papunta sa Mandaluyong. "Mandaluyong." I answered coldly. "And.. you're going with me?" Napataas ang kilay niya. Ayoooonn, bistooo! "Not really. I don't think you can go home safely kasi." I smiled. "So, I'm giving you the honor to come along with me." Bawi, Rhys. Di na siya sumagot, dumiretso nalang siya sa train kaya I followed her nalang. Buong byahe, di niya ko kinibo. Then tumayo siya at bumaba. Sumunod lang ako sa kanya. Tumayo siya sandali dun sa sakayan ng mga buses. Muntik na akong matawa when I saw her reading one by one the route of the buses and jeepneys. "San ka sa Quezon?" Hindi parin niya ako kinibo. I pulled out my phone and texted Vince. 'Dude, pnta dto sa Mbni. di makkuwi c yana. di mrnong smkay. Bilis.' Di nagreply kaya tinawagan ko nalang kagad. "Yeah. Puntahan mo nalang ako dito. Hassle na eh." I looked at her and smiled. Tinawagan ko si Vince para sunduin nalang si Yana dito since alam kong close ang family nila. Mas okay nang alam kong magkasama sila ng kaibigan ko kesa naman sumakay siya ng bus na parang nalilito kung san uuwi. Mga ten minutes pa siguro yung hinintay naming dalawa before Vince's car stopped sa harap namen. I saw the surprise in her eyes when Vincent got out of car and looked at her worried. Dun palang, may napansin na ako kay Vincent. "V-Vincent?" she muttered. "Pumasok ka na sa loob. Papahatid na kita." sabi ni Vince sa kanya. I smiled sheepishly at Vince and I saw his eyes asked me kung bakit magkasama kami ni Yana. Nagkibit-balikat lang ako and smiled more. Si Yana naman napatingin lang saken.. then kay Vincent.. then saken ulit at napabuntong hininga nalang siya. "Thanks Vince, but no. Sasakay ako ng bus katulad ng sinabi ni Daddy." "Aabutin ka ng 48 years kung sasakay ka ng bus." Medyo nainis ako sa pride niya kaya medyo "iba" yung tono ng pananalita ko sa kanya. Tiningnan niya lang kami ng masakit. "Hindi ako sasakay. Pano ako matututo kung di ko susubukan ngayon?" Vince frowned. "Ganito nalang, sasabayan nalang kita sa bus." Sabi ni Vince. "Ayoko-" "Ako na Vince. Umuwi ka nalang. Ako nalang ang sasabay sa kanya pauwi." sabi ko kaagad kay Vince. Pumara nalang kaagad si Vince ng bus.. ayaw pa sanang pumasok ni Yana pero medyo tinulak ko siya ng mahina sa bus door, minura narin kami ng driver kaya umakyat nalang si Yana. Nabigla nga ako na puno ang bus ng mga studyante malapit sa schools namen. Napatingin sila saken at kay Yana. Nakita ko namang medyo nanliit si Yana at nahiya. She sat down at mukhang di niya parin ata gets na ihahatid ko tlga siya hanggang sa bahay nila. "Umurong ka dun." Umurong naman siya at tumahimik nalang. Ewan ko ba, I usually get bored with girls na uber tahimik pero ibang-iba siya. "So.. if you're not a fan of Heroes nor Gossip Girls.. then I'll guess you're a fan of Sineskwela." I opened a conversation with her. Ayoko namang umupo nalang dun at hintayin siyang bumaba without hearing her opinions. She amuses me so much. I chuckled. And I saw na medyo nainis siya. "Y-yeah. I do watch Sineskwela before." "Y-you do?" I chuckled again, surprised that she really did watch it. "What's funny?" "I mean... nothing. Nanonood rin ako niyan." I said stopping myself from laughing so hard. "Ahhhh." She said and looked out at the wndow again. Silence. "Hmm.. bakit mo pala ako sinasamahan ngayon?" [i]I was taken aback by her question. Bakit nga ba? Maybe because matagal na kitang tinitingnan sa malayo and this was my only chance for the past few months na ma-solo kita and get to know you better? Or maybe I was just surprised and worried to see you cross the street by yourself? Or pwede ring.. because I like you so much so that I want to spend time with you?[/i] Weird. Of course, I couldn't tell her these things. Baka matakot siya saken. "Errr... siguro kasi.. kaano-ano mo nga ulit si Vincent?" I asked a different question. "F-family friend." "Ayuuun. Kasi... family friend ka ni Vince.. at kaibigan ko si Vince." I said and grinned. "Nga pala, san ka ba bababa?" "Sa Grand Royale." "T-teka.. you live at Grand Royale?" Shit, she does?! "Yeah. Bakit?" "You're filthy rich." I said. "I-I'm not." "You are. Anyway.... *Manong! Para!" Tumayo ako at sumunod naman siya sa pagbaba. Nung nasa baba na kami, tumayo kami sandali sa entrance ng village. "Tara.." "Teka, teka. Anong tara?" "Ihahatid kita sa loob." I was planning to take her inside hanggang sa gate ng bahay niya. I mean, I don't know what's in store for her inside the village. Although alam ko kung gano kasecured ang village, we still do not know. You get me? "N-no, no, no. Kaya ko na. I'll take it from here." She said and tumalikod na kaagad. "Uhmm.. okay. Ingat sa paglalakad ha." I told her and went on my way. Dang. Too bad. "Rhys Romualdez!!" I turned around. "S-Salamat!" she shouted and waved goodbye. I just smiled at her. Ewan ko, pero parang yun yung totoo kong ngiti sa isang babae. This Yana Antonio really knows how to amuse me. "Yana!!" I called back. "Rhys nalang!" She smiled and nodded her head. Then, I felt blood rushed to my face kaya tumalikod na kagad ako at umakyat sa unang fx na dumaan. And dang, napasakay ako sa maling fx. Ang saya naman. Hahahahah. [b]>> To be continued[/b]
