Anyone tried both? What are your opinions on each. I haven't stayed in a dorm but from what I can tell its a great way to meet friends but also a great way to get stuck with people you can't stand.

for me, its better living in apartments when u go for school boarding. y? u can move freely when u are on apartments and u can feel the freedom and independence than living on dormitories, plus when u live on dormitories, expect strict rules for your safety.
