Actually, it depends on the culture and the situation. Like in Japan, they have this valentine's day where girls give cookies to the guys they like, then they will have this "white day" where boys can give back something if they liked the girl who gave cookies to him or give it to someone else. It's a form of confession already. In our country and tradition, when a girl confesses or courts a boy, it's unethical already. I don't think so. What a guy can do, girls can too. I mean, we are not supposed to just wait for a prince charming to arrive. Life isn't fairytale. We also have to make our hunt. So, it goes for both people. Either of them.
