The point is... the negotiation wasn't handled properly. Everything went wrong because the police underestimated Capt. Mendoza. They all think he cannot and wouldn't hurt the hostages that's why they were handling it like it was nothing. They DIDN'T use their common sense. They did things that will agitate the hostage taker. AND wtf? SWAT team was a big flopppppppp!!!!!!!%#^$!%$@ throwing tear gas and they don't even have any masks on? what the hell? The huge hammer that they were using to smash their way inside the bus even slipped inside. FAIL. The bus entrance can be open outside, usually there's a button under the bus near the entrance.
