Once you have it you'll start to think why you didn't pick a more powerful desktop instead .
Not unless you travel a lot, I wouldn't encourage to get a laptop .
You'll get more power, and better screen resolution with a desktop/monitor combo for a lower price.
Laptops can burn your laps
, no kidding.. I've heard even stories that some guys lost ability to "reproduce" because of too much use of laptops .. hehehe

The technology to "cool" these compact devices are not too advanced yet, still use the same fans invented 50+ years ago.
The other thing is durability, if some component breaks in your laptop, most always that becomes an oversized coaster for you. Also the newer laptops arent that well built anymore , give it a year or 2 , either your motherboard will get fried or some other component breaks. With desktops, components can be replaced .. so many possible combinations for upgrades too.
