Well, the events were really different from the anime and maga itself. It was still a good movie, though Id really prefer the manga-based story. and yeah, I can see a part of his surname written on the Death Note when he held it in his hands and showed it to Raito .

I actually lost the appetite to watch DN after L's death (i think this isnt considered a spoiler already right?). But seeing the reaction of Raito when he talked to Near for the first time, i think the show will get more interesting. By the way, i think im late at this but did you notice that the initials of the names of the 4 main characters are arranged in alphabetical order: K - Kira (Raito) L - L M - Mello N - Near But it may be just a coincidence though.
