I have Avast 4.7 (an anti-virus). i use this one cuz its for free. 
i also have Windows Defender installed on my PC. im not sure what it does though. i just installed it for the sake of having one cuz of my 'genuine' MicrosoftOS capability. heheh.

Also I have 4 anti-virus programs: Symantec, McAfee, Norton, and AVG

I used to have Norton Internet Security installed.
But I removed it cos it eats too much resources, talk about slow start-up!
I switched to [b]ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite 7.[/b]
I heard it has one of the best firewalls around, so I decided to get the package.
It has a very good firewall, an anti-virus, anti-spyware, email protection, IM security.
I wanted to check out AVG but I think I'll stick with ZoneAlarm for now.
It's light, and it's very dependable.

McAfee's one of the most famous and best anitvirus protection program there is. Half of my classmates use it.

i use [url=http://www.eset.com/products/index.php]nod32[/url]. its an anti-virus and an anti-spyware at d same tym. lyk it bcoz of its real-time detection feature ( u can set nod32 for every one hour update- means ull be sure that uve got the latest virus definitions) and it uses onli a very low amount of memory - like its not even existing in your memory cache.

Anti Spyware -> Ad-Aware Se

I dont use anti virus, sometimes its causing me a lot of problems
running my programs, its frustrating sometimes

download utorrent, and just look for it there, you dont even have to purchase it coz its in $$$$$
me too, i disabled all my firewall, i dont even run my anti virus, i only use peer guardian(ip filter) and privoxy(proxy)...

programs you have are not working properly?
Its because of the anit-virus (peace)
The windows security and firewall that came along with your os
its already a good enough for you security. Just purchase the genuine one
and youll be having less troubles.
Just be cautious on what site youre browsing.
At least enabled your firewall.
