Thirteen na kaya ako!� He said waving his hands in the air as we reach the food Bacon, hotdog, nuggets, bread, and the star of the table �rice�. �Ma parang andami naman?� I said as I grab my chair. �Ano ba Kuya Tyler! Kain ka na lang busy na kaming kumakain ehy ikaw tanong pa ng tanong!� Jack said while patting my back. Napatawa kaming lahat �Oo na, sorry na po lolo.� I said and eat. �So Ma, Sabay ba tayong pupuntang preschool?� I said habang subo �Hindi, si Jack hahatid mo muna sa school tapos punta ka sa preschool.� She said while pouring juice in Jack�s glass. �How would I possibly know kung saan ang preschool niyo Ma?� She smiled. �The motorbike I�m giving you has a GPRS installed in its voice activated.� she said. And like wow, I never thought Philippines would be advance that much I thought techy stuffs are only in US �Cool! [i]Paige�s POV[/i] �Pancake!� Somebody shouted behind me. �Pancake!� I shouted back as soon as I saw Nick. Well, kinda sweet for friends pero ganyan talaga kami �Paige long time no see.� Joan said while hugging me. Joan was in US a few years ago and she is two years older than me though. Tapos bigla ako hinug ng very tight ni Nicholas ko �Pancake! I miss you very much! At lalo ka pang gumanda ngayon � I heard somebody scoffed behind me and nearly forgot. �O yea guys! Eto ung mga friends ko sa US. Si Mike, the great drummer.� Mike stopped playing his drum stick and held out his hands. �Nice meeting you guys � Mike said and got back in playing his drum sticks. �And this is Rex, the awesomest organist.� Rex stopped chewing his gum and gladly smiled at them and shook their hands. �And the last but not the least.... Asan na yung loko-lokong un.� I said while searching for my last contestant. �Hey I�m Keith, the guitarist.� Tumingin kaming lahat sa likod nandoon si Keith. Instead of seeing all my friends smile, I saw Keith staring at Joan madly and Joan was looking down, what the? �Joan? Kilala mo ba si Keith?� I said looking worried. �Ahehehe, diba I was in US a few years ago and alam mo naman ang friend mo mahilig sa mga banda.� She faked a laugh then asked us to go in the vehicle. Crap! Ano ba ang nangyayari dito? �Ilagay niyo na lang dito mga bagahe niyo.� Nick shouted as he put mine at the compartment. Tahimik si Keith while staring outside and Joan was the same thing :sigh: �Oh guys! Lunch tayo kina Tita Eloisa ha!� I said to break the silence. �Ah Paige, sorry pero hindi ako makakasama kasi may lakad kami ng parents ko.� Joan said sounding unconvincing. �Diba sinabi mo sa akin bago ako dumating na na-cancel mo lahat ng lakad mo?� I said while pouting. �Yea, Paige told us that we will hang-out with her schedule free buddies.� Keith said madly which made Joan really embarrassed. �Keith!� Keith shook his head in disbelief and looked away. �It is better if you and Nick will visit your Tita Eloisa while we take our rest, okay?� Mike suggested. �Okay but we will have lunch together at our house. I�ll just visit the preschool.� I said then dropped them at our house and Joan to theirs. It is only 9:30 in the morning. I saw Tita Eloisa reading stories to the children, as usual �Tita Eloisa!� I said as I climbed the stairs. All the kids went out and said hi to me and Tita Eloisa introduced me to each and every one. Minutes later a screech was heard and all of them looked including me. As he remove his helmet he looks damn Denver opposite! Paige si Tyler adopted son ko.� He held out his hand smiling weakly and I shook it. �Tyler ikaw na bahala sa mga bata.� He just nodded and lead the children. �Tita bakit ngayon ko lang siya nakilala?� I said curiously. �He studied in Canada at your Tita Len�s and very outstanding student.� she smiled proudly and looked at Tyler while playing the harmonica. I stared at him and he has a very calm emotion it is like he has no problem at all. �Hi Tita Eloisa! Pancake!� Nick naman eh! Panay haplos kay Paige! Anlandi!� I said while cutting my meat. �Selos ka no?� sabi ni Jack habang tinuturo ung pisngi ko. �Bakit mo ba nasabi?� I said with this face--- �Eh may crack na yang pinggan sa kakahiwa mo ng karne mo!� sabi ni Jack habang ngumunguya. Tinignan ko ung pinggan ko, ahehehe, may sira nga. �Palitan ko na lang Tita, I mean Ma!� I said with a fake smile. �Hayaan mo nalang...� Napakamot ako ng ulo ko kasi pinagtatawanan na ako. Haixt! Ayoko ang feeling na ganito! �Bakit ka ba nagseselos eh ikaw naman ang papakasalan ni Paige.� sabi ni Tita Eloisa habang pinapalitan ung pinggan ko. �Malay mo lang tita hindi ako siputin ni Paige dahil sa lalaki na un!� sabi habang kumukuha ng panibago kong pagkain. �Tsk! Friends lang ung mga un and kahit mahal ni Nick si Paige hindi un aamin kasi alam niya na iba ang mahal niya!� Tita said while pushing my head forward. �Kawawa nga lang si Paige...� Tita said while sitting in her chair. �Ba-bakit po siya kawawa?� I said in sudden confusion. �Kasi alam mo ba na tatlong tao ang minamahal niya? I tsked and looked at my plate. �Wala matatalo ka lang tita.� I said so sure of myself. �O eh bakit natatakot kang mag-oo!� she said a bit loud habang si Jack naman sinisiko na akong mag-oo. �Mag-oo ka na lang, kukulitin ka hagang gabi niyan!� Jack said laughing. �Sige na nga! Basta I warn you Tita, mag-iisip na ako ng papagawa sa iyo!� I said devilishly [i]next day[/i] I once again rode my motor and once again drop Jack in school then to the preschool. While I was on my way I saw a girl walking to the preschool? well, she is 3 blocks away but still heading I stopped by her and she faced me and removed her cap. �Tyler!� Paige said cheerfully as she waved hi to me.� well, more like Jamie Sullivan of a Walk To Remember. �Do you want a lift?� I said offering a ride. She nod happily and got the helmet I was giving her. I started the engine and in a few minutes we reached the preschool. �Hi Tita!� she call out and hugged Tita Eloisa. �Tyler hindi ka pa pala nag-breakfast! Hindi ako nakaluto, ikaw nag-breakfast ka na ba?� she said asking Paige. Paige shook his head and looked at me! Patay! Tita is setting us up! �Edi mag-breakfast muna kayo!� Tita said winking at me. �Pero Ma-� �Take the rest of the day-off! I�m sure Paige want to know you and be home at 7 exact! Not earlier ok?� I know where this is going! Judging from Paige�s sweet smile she will say yes! �But Ma, baka naman may lakad si Paige with her friends, nakakahiya naman.� �No! I actually cancelled it because I want to spend time with you!� she said smiling widely. I don�t know if I should be happy or sad or what?! And why would she want to spend time with me? �Sige na! Baka gutom na kayong dalawa!� Tita said shooing us like chickens,. tsk! We are already in the mall. I drove fast to limit my time with her, kasi mas delekado kung mas matagal kami mag-kasama. Kapal na kung kapal pero mukhang magugustuhan nanaman ako ni Paige Nasa Shakey�s kami, since I�m a gentleman It is my treat. �Family size pizza, Hawaiian and 2 large coke.� I said simply unlike before, I�m going to talk to the cashier and act cute �Dine in sir?� �No, take out.� �Hey! Bakit take out.� I grabbed the box and faced her. �I don�t like eating in a big crowd. So if you wanna eat, follow.� she frowned and followed me. I held her hand. �I don�t like people around me to think that I�m abusing someone.� I said seriously but I know secretly she smiled. We were on my motor and I don�t have any idea where to take her. I opened the GPRS, scan, scan... �You like beaches?� I asked even though I know the answer. �Yea.� she answered shortly. �May extra shirt ka ba?� �Meron. Bakit punta tayo?� I just nod and I can see through the side mirror how excited she looks. [i]Paige�s POV[/i] We were heading to Pangasinan, long trip in a motorcycle but I think he�s adventurous. I saw him smile when I asked if we were going at least even a lil� bit I can relate to this guy. I feel like being with.... Denver. Yea, he is the complete of Den but there is still a feeling that they are the same. It took us 3-4 hours to reach the place. �So ilang hours tayo ditto?� I asked to him �cause I know hindi �to makakatagal kasama ako. �It depends.� He said then carried the box of pizza. Nice answer dude! �It depends� yea, really nice answer �Wala ka bang plano?� I said trying to catch up with him. He faced me then shook his head. �Okay ka rin no! Lumapag na siya sa tabing dagat at tinawag niya akong tumabi sa kanya. Kumakain lang kami habang papababa ang araw. It is nice seeing the sun change color but this is the best one yet. Ayun naligo kami kahit papano may F-U-N rin pala sa dictionary nito. �Masayahin ka rin pala.� he nod simply. Bakit kaya hindi magaling magsalita �to? �Nagka-GF ka na?� I�m asking questions like this to know him more. �Ano seryoso o laro?� he said jokingly. �Ung seryoso!� �Wala pa.� �Bakit naman?� I saw him looked down then back to me. �I already love somebody but I cannot show myself to her because if I do so I�ll break my promise to her parents specially her mother. I can only show myself to her after a year.� he is one dedicated guy! Normally guys will just find another girl to love but him he is willing to wait. �True love.� he smiled the looked at the stars. He pointed �my� star, remember? Actually tonight it is the brightest �That�s my star!� I said shocked �cause in all the stars in the sky why point mine? [b]Chapter 39[/b] [i][u]Keith�s POV[/u][/i] It�s been three months and half since the day Paige discovers Denver�s little secret. We visit him now and then but we only end up in going home �cause he will always be playing with the kids or doing household chores, he didn�t have to do that but that is the only thing he knew to get his mind of Paige. One time when we went to Tita Eloisa we saw him breaking bottles at the back to take out his anger. Today is his birthday and I�m guessing he don�t even remember it, and by the way he threw all his Tyler stuffs and let his brother send him his normal fashionable clothes, and sadly he threw the motorcycle also- which I wish he just gave me- And the weirdest thing that happened to him is breaking every mirror he see his reflection in (Don�t he know that breaking a mirror brings three years of badluck?) It�s sunset and still no single call or invitation from Denver, normally he would pull our hair just to treat him in one cool place... We are now in the porch of Tita Eloisa�s. We were about to knock but at our surprise, Tita Eloisa opened the door worriedly. �What�s the problem Tita?� Rex asked weirdly. �Denver is gone! He left this morning and he still ain�t coming home!� Tita said nervously. Denver don�t usually left that long. �Puwede pong pumasok?� I said while looking at Denver�s room, I know there is something wrong. Tita just nod and let me in. I entered his room, I saw the book opened in the page where he highlighted back in US. I read the book further and at my shock: [i]Seeing my reflection in a broken mirror made me realize how idiotic I was in tricking my love. Gonna kill him... I saw him kicking a can, I went in front of him. �Hey Denver!� I said while pointing the gun to him. �Are you sure you�re going to kill me?� he said then put his hands in his pocket. I don�t understand! I expect him to be begging for hid life! But.. WHY!? �Shoot! Kara! This is what you want all your life, so shoot! At least I can make one person happy.� I was being teary eyed as he come forward to me. �Wha-what are you doing?� I uttered as he held my hand and direct the gun in his head. �Why won�t you shoot!� he said angrily at me. I shook my head after realizing how I kept my anger for years, I could just move-on... I carefully put the gun down but the next thing I knew was he was shot by a knife under his heart. I looked back and saw Ryan playing with his gun. �Hey Baby Girl.� he said then winked. �What the hell did you do Ryan!� I shouted at him as I remove the knife in his chest. Denver was trying to catch his breath. �So your heart learns to forgive!� he said then smirked he pointed the gun on me and .... [i][b]bang![/b][/i] I shot him in the head while he shot me in the kidney. I hurriedly carried Denver to the car and checked my wound. I opened the container in the car and contact Denver�s friends. �He-hello...� I said holding breath. �Who�s this?� �Go to the nearest hospital in the intersection to Pangasinan.� I looked at my phone, it full of blood. I dropped my phone and started the engines. I entered the hospital and quickly the nurse responded. She held my hand but I refused. �God! D*mn it nurse! Save him! Not me!� I shouted at her and she quickly picked up Denver and to the ER. I was still catching breath. The doctor asked me if I want to be treated but still I refused. I took a look inside Denver�s room and they were all panicking �cause he.... DIED. I cried and went inside the room. I asked the doctor not to remove the oxygen just yet. I need a miracle! I removed my cross necklace and put it in his hands. I lie down beside him... �I should be the one who is begging for life...� I trailed off. �I love you.. and I will always.� I said then hugged him tight and slowly closed my eyes. [i][u]Denver�s POV[/u][/i] I opened my eyes and turned to Kara. I know she is right here beside me. I watch her every move and attempt as soul... I slowly put her hair behind her ear and smiled. I slowly kissed her forehead. �Sorry I cannot love you the way you love me and I am very thankful of having a lover like you. Thank you for the second chance.� The doctor and nurses were like shock and murmuring to each other. I removed the oxygen and everything then slowly covered Kara but before I did that A tear from my eye fell, imagining that I been hating her for year yet I was the one who should be begging not her. [i][u]Paige�s POV[/u][/i] I haven�t seen Denver for like three months. I listened to the conversations of Rex but no Denver. I saw them in their skateboards. I planned to follow them and next thing I know was they were in front of a hospital. �What are they doing here?� I asked myself. I hid behind a car and I saw.... De-Denver. �Anong nangyari?� I asked once again to myself. Wait! Eavesdropping on the case �According to the doctor you died in 8:34. Why are you still alive?� Rex said not jokingly? �Somebody died for me.� Denver said simply. �Who?� Mike asked. �We�ll never know... So I�m off got to prepare for my fianc�e�s big day � Shit! These hurts! It sucks! So bad! I wanna get out where I�m hiding from and just held him in my arms forever and don�t go to her stupid fianc�e! [i]2months later.... Paige�s Debut...[/i] �Hey pretty girl smile! It�s your big day! Aren�t you excited that you finally gonna meet your fianc�?� My sister arrived a few weeks ago and she is in my dressing room here in our building. �I�m not sure if I still.. well, you know, love him.� I said grinning my teeth. My Sister just smiled and finished my hair. The guests are already arriving but I choose to go in the rooftop. To stop my pain... I stayed at the tip of the rooftop, crying. The words of Denver about her fianc�e still plays ain my mind and it so sucks. �Maybe it is better to don�t exist since I can�t be with the person I love.� I attempt to jump in the building but instead of falling my hands are held by someone. I looked back and saw HIM!!! �Catfish ka talaga! Alam mo ba ang pinagdaanan ko para lang makaattend sa debut mo!? Malapit na akong nakulong, natamaan ng kutsilyo, malapit ng namatay at dumaan sa matinding depression dahil sa iyo!� I smiled then hugged him. He laughed and I know he can feel my tear fell from his suit. He gently pushed me away and turned his back on me. �If you still want to fall, I will always follow you so it is better if you get down there and have debut.� He said then walked away. I watched him walked away, there is no sadness or anything in his voice... he sounds happy. I followed what he said. I took a deep breath while going down in the receptions stairs. I saw a boy in a mask, violet and green in colour. I�m guessing his my fianc� :sigh: When I already reached him and he smiled and I can�t help but to smile. �I know you love your best friend but I know you will love me more.� We were gliding in the middle of the dance floor; we are the only ones in there. �What!?� I said angrily in a low voice. He stopped dancing and so do I then he move closer to me. �Let me make this more formal, I�m your fianc�...� He removed his mask and I was like �Sorry I didn�t tell you before because maybe your mom will haunt me.� Denver said laughing, binatukan ko nga ang pangit! Pagkatapos ng batok ayun ngumiti siya. �Crazy! I really love you Denver Ford.� I smiled then he hugged me and he guided me again on the floor.
