[spoiler]A [b]Caesarian section[/b] (or Cesarean section in American English), also known as C-section or Caesar, is a surgical procedure in which incisions are made through a mother's abdomen (laparotomy) and uterus (hysterotomy) to deliver one or more babies. It is usually performed when a vaginal delivery would put the baby's or mother's life or health at risk, although in recent times it has been also performed upon request for childbirths that could otherwise have been natural.[1][2][3] The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends that the rate of Caesarean sections should not exceed 15% in any country.[/spoiler]

Btw, Cesarean Section (CS) is commonly done on pregnant mothers who have an abnormal condition called [i]placenta previa[/i]. It is a condition where the placenta is attached to the uterine wall near to or covering the cervix (normal attachment is on the fundus of the uterus).

in real life..id rather handle a normal delivery than being in OR assisting CS deliveries 
but just like TPAM said..it may not be the best but one of the best scene that you can witness in your whole life..cmon we're talking about L-I-F-E here..

cesarean has two purposes... or maybe 3. but i kinda forgot the 3rd. though I could be wrong. 
1st is usually because the baby is too big to go outside the vagina.
2nd is because of life and death situations. e.g. the baby might choke in his/her umbilical cord if went the normal process, or usually unborn and must be removed from mother because baby is already dead. harsh but I think it's true...
I think the 3rd is related to life and death situations or maybe because they want to? anyway, just sharing my thoughts...
