I'm really excited to see what happens next 
because:

A. Jeremiah is an ally now, even though rurush made a fool out of him
B. Rolo!!!!! - he's really gay, probably more than suzaku

C. even with shirley dead, there's still a bunch of other girls that are way cooler than shirley
(e.g. suzaku's cousin - Kaguya, Milly Ashford, CC, Kallen, etc.)
