for me, "ignoring" (i.e. not reading at all) the PM's from any member which you suspect is a spammer is to "delete" the message right away from your inbox. it's just like "blocking" that particular member. don't read/open any PM from him/her, just delete it.
now, if there will be an added option like "blocking" for PM's, it would be better.
