Re: Since some people are upset (most especially Aya :lol3:) that people plan the next contest and they don't end up participating, maybe we should have a Battle Arena instead? So those members who
How will we know if their entries are ready if there's no 'entries' thread?
Both members have to PM a mod that's assigned to the Battle Arena section? Or... well, if you think it's easier to have an entries thread instead, then we could go with that. But since this is a battle, I think it would be better if none of the members participating in the battle would see the other member's entry until the voting thread. But yeah, it's just a suggestion. ^^
100% voting via poll? orrr.. both parties can decide whether they want to have judges or not.
Well, we have post votes in the contests for a reason, so I think it should be the same for the battles, too. But I dunno. Whichever you guys think is better. :] Both parties could have choices: Post voting or Judges. The judges should be chosen by the staff to prevent any bias or anything like that.
Suggestion: How about aside from notifying the person you want to challenge thru pm, we should also make a Battle Arena thread in Contest and Event section and the challenger also post the name he/she had challenge so we everyone can check the status of the Battle? For example: I formally challenge [username] in a [battle event]. status: [either declined/no reply/accepted] reason: (if decline) I formally challenge admin in a hair battle status: decline reason: scared if status has been accepted, we will give them three days (max) to decide on the deadline for the submission of entries and the rules and mechanics of the battle. Moderators will help. If the status is still "no reply" in one week's time, then the battle will be considered as null and the challenger has to challenge a different person?
That's a great idea. But for example: Somebody challenges me and I accept, how do we change the "status" in the Battle Area thread? Do I PM him/her that I accept and he/she changes the status in the Battle Arena thread? Because if the challenged member accepts through post in the Battle Arena thread, it would be kind of confusing especially if there are a lot of battles going on at the same time. Also, members shouldn't post in the Battle Arena thread except if they are challenging or is being challenged and they are accepting/declining the challenge so it would be easier to keep track of the battle status. Aside from that, the suggestion is excellent. :]
