Re: Are your CPU's already updated to Windows Vista :) Just asking :D

@TJ: Windows 3.1, Windows 95, WindowsNT, Windows 2000, and Windows XP are examples of the Operating System (OS) by MicroSoft. the latest is Windows Vista :D I dont have that yet. i was actually lookin for cracks and stuff. but i was told by friends of mine that Vista requires high end processors and RAMs etc. so upgrading to Vista having an averaged speed computer is not really a good idea, at least for me.. :D

Re: Are your CPU's already updated to Windows Vista :) Just asking :D

Too bad.. arrggghh! But I'd really want to get my hands on that OS! Even though I can already use it on my computer. I still want better faster hardware to avoid software/hardware failures etc. Upgrading my PC won't be possible yet. So I can only cry about it for now.

Re: Are your CPU's already updated to Windows Vista :) Just asking :D

Hahahaha! Since I couldn't get that OS just yet.. I tried the TRANSFORMATION PACK! This will change your current theme to the look and feel of Windows Vista. Unfortunately it didn't work on my PC. I just tried it last night. It's kinda risky though, cos it will change your setup. Using it might affect how your computer performs. I'm not sure if what I used was version 6. But these links below should contain the updated versions. Click on the image below for a larger preview. So think hard before you install this to your PC.

Re: Are your CPU's already updated to Windows Vista :) Just asking :D

That's cool you guys are using Vista. =) But Vista for now has got a lot of bugs still, until you can get the Service Packs. Also like most of you noticed it doesn't support some programs. So it might take a year or so before we can fully enjoy Vista, without the hassles. Well only if all of us have upgraded our system, yeah.

Re: Are your CPU's already updated to Windows Vista :) Just asking :D

I also dont really like Vista (for now). Yes the grpahic eye candies are cool, but it eats alot of resources. Not for me. Id rather go for Ubuntu.
Whenever you saved vista office file [let's say you created a document in MS Word Vista] you still have to save it as MS document for WindowsXp-2003 and so on...
If you like to have the '.doc' as the default extension for MS Word 2007, do this: - On your MSWord 07 window, click the Office button at the top left corner of the screen. - At the bottom-right corner of the Office button's window you should see abutton that says Word Options. Click on that. - On the left corner of the Word Options window, click on the Save tab. - On the Save files in this format option, choose Word 97-2003 Document (*.doc). That's it.
i'm also curious in changing desktop themes, where can i download some themes for Vista? is there such thing? ^_^
Try these sites that i found: - http://www.guimods.com - http://www.vistastyles.org - http://wincustomize.com
