Another Message To The Rockstars
In regards to the conflict we had yesterday between some members of Rockstars and members of Class-S, I just wanted to once again bring attention to the fact that we most certainly need to let this issue die down and fizz out. I am posting this message because of a recent reply in the "Why do we need to be mature" thread in the UG section by a Class-S member who may or may not have been directly implying the events of yesterday. This poster, who made this reply just a few hours ago (long after the issue was supposed to have been settled) was not even directly involved yesterday and really had no business to be referencing the issue because of that fact. That point was agreed on by one of the leaders of Class-S who I sent a private message to, regarding his member's post, as well as informing him that I myself replied to that persons post in a stern, yet also positive manner.
The reason for my reply there was because I was concerned about the possibility of one of the Rockstars seeing the post by the other member, and reacting to it in a negative way, thus leading to another conflict. I feel now, that if a Rockstar was to see that thread, now, before seeing this message that it should deter him/her from responding further because I feel my reply says absolutely all that needs to be said. On the other hand, the leader of Class-S that I spoke with seems to think that my reply could provoke another conflict or misunderstanding. I, myself, do not see my comment as negative in any manner whatsoever. Yes, my reply was a bit critical and stern but I believed it needed to be addressed. This person made statements that I truly felt could be seen or perceived to be a direct reference to the dilemma we saw yesterday.
Again, the member from Class-S who made the recent post was not even directly involved in the misunderstandings of yesterday, and she may or may not have been referring to this issue. I did not accuse her of instigating, nor did I flame her. I used the word "if" multiple times in my reply just as the word "if" was pointed out to us several times yesterday, so if using "if" and pointing it out is not wrong (in the case of yesterday's events) then neither was my use of the word "if". Those of us who were involved will know what I'm talking about. If anybody wants to take my "if's" and reply negatively, then that is his/hers/their prerogative, but I think anyone who has any intelligence or common sense will not take it negatively or personally. If they do, then that is his/her/their decision, however distorted it may be.
I also mentioned in my reply there that if this person was not referring to what happened yesterday, then it was a very well said statement. I also suggested (via report button) that the topic be locked, at least temporarily, until this matter has had substantial time to cool off, the same as what happened with the "eGroups discussion" thread.
The bottom line is that I hope none of us will reply to the recent comments in that thread. I think we should now truly pretend that the thread does not even exist. I also hope that we all can get along, all eGroups, all members, because nobody and no group in this forum is superior over another. I hope the Moderators will agree with my suggestion and simply lock it for a period of time just to ensure there is no more accusations or conflicts arising from the incident.
I do believe that nobody in our group has any plans to take this matter any further, and maybe I should not have replied, but I genuinely thought that the the other poster's reply needed to be addressed if this post was a direct jab at what happened yesterday. That being said, I told the leader of Class-S that I spoke with that I would address this issue one more time just to ensure that there will be no more comments or replies in that thread that could appear to be negative, and that even here in our own group that we will not make any further derogatory comments as some of us did yesterday, myself included. I made mistakes yesterday which did not help the situation, but I'm man enough to admit my mistakes and faults and I'm man enough to also offer my apologies....which I did yesterday.
I apologize to all Rockstars for what happened yesterday, and I apologize for this post if it sounds like I'm preaching, but I hope all Rockstars will take time to read through this.
Now.....let's move on, shall we?
