I have both but I prefer PSP since I got my iPod crushed and it won't work anymore. 
But I love DS' touch screen feature. So fun. I use my DS when I travel or when I feel like playing games. My PSP is for media storage. No games. Lols.

DS is targeted for kiddos because it improves mental development through fun interactive activities.
Also, DS is very fun and interactive and has easy to use interface. Go DS!

psp has more features.. though DS has a slick-looking touchscreen, i'll go for PSP..

a little for PSP because it has many features like music,video,games,etc. but I like NDS more because
of the cool touch screen and stylus and because its main purpose is for gaming and none other so I chose
NDS. GO DS alakchakamuparapunapulaekan 
Ps. there are other gadgets that would make up for some of PSP's feature (except gaming ehehhe) but touch screen rulez!

And If You're Going To Play With Others...
You Don't Need Connection Or Cable...
But For PSP It's Can Be Far From Each Other And Doesn't Need Any Cable...

Nintendo DS has way better graphics than PSP but PSP is very portable. as the name states portable.
Besides I have a PS2.
