I think it is just ok Some sort of entertainment. But on the other side its not Its like were lazy to create new songs or popularize.

I hate to sound like this... That's the effect of listening to low quality junk on your local radio. There are many great Filipino Artist. The only problem is... You're listening to the wrong radio station. Try to fine [b]A Class [/b]music stations or buy a CD of our OPM Artist. Hilera, Slapshock, Itchyworms, Nyoy Volante, Julliane... arhg so many to mention. It really depends if you know what to listen to. Some people are too commercialize that's why they tend to be too high class to find and listen to their own kind of music.

okk.. its not that I want them to copy the style and tune of the songs.. my point is, whether or not it is a rendition, we should be kind to them for showing such talent..

I agree that OPM is not original. Like, since when did they become so original? Way, way back, I appreciate the older songs from bands like Eraserheads, Parokya Ni Edgar and Wolfgang. They might be influenced by Western Music but "Revives" are a rip. Same to other singers right now. I only appreciate Yeng Constantino's songs than any other. Although punkish, but still original.
