I suggest before zapping a particular reports check what area it is in. If you are assigned and see the topic falls in your category then zap the report if your not the mod in the reported category don't zap the report so the moderator in that particular thread can see the problem =) Also checking mod CP is a good idea :D

If you're zapping a report, that means you're taking the responsibility for the reported issue/problem. You should zap a report only if: 1. You're pretty sure you can handle the problem (because you're the moderator on that reported section), 2. The reported problem has been solved. It's not a good idea to zap a report and then do nothing about it, because there's no way all other moderators and administrator would know whether the zapped report was already resolved or not.

When a member reports you will see a new reports on the top left of the profile. after clicking the link you will see the report with a zap button below. zap if you can handle. don't zap if you too are busy in your section. See Mod CP on navigation of ftalk or http://theftalk.com/admin_reports.php to see some reports =)

wew.. :D :D Well..According to me Just Moderator from assigned area should zap the reports.. :cool: :eh: Friendstertalk.com has many areas and each of them is assigned by moderators.. :cool: For example : [b]Friendster Tricks and Tutorials area[/b] is moderated by Ephemeral, FeenQueGurL_08, alvin_bilian, eehjhay, feruzz, meng.o3... :) So..all reports that have relation with [b]Friendster Tricks and Tutorials area[/b] should be zapped by Ephemeral, FeenQueGurL_08, alvin_bilian, eehjhay, feruzz, meng.o3.. =) :) I think it's better to be like that.. :D

So that means if you're not a Moderator of that section, you can't zap it. Tell me if I'm right? Coz I'm a bit confuse about this thing. =(

^ If you think about it, it does work that way yeah.. Cos the moderators from the reported section are the ones who can only fix posts there. So it's them who can only ZAP that report after fixing the problem. Unless you are Admin... and you can edit, delete, modify posts in whatever section. Then he can ZAP reports in whatever section he has fixed.

it's alright kid. i already report that again. you can zap a report if u have a moderator access in that section and/or if the report (any section) is already been fix but haven't zap the report by the fixer.

^ True.. at least Harvey now understands it too. :D Actually I think this thread is a must to read for new moderators. That's why I always try to inform new mods about this feature and how it works. :P Cos I noticed most of us were confused about how to use it properly.
