If you are not yet updated for the new Saiyuki, the latest now is Saiyuki Reload Gun lock. I have plan to watch all episodes from reload to Gunlock after watching Greed Island. For the question about Son Goku he's not actually a God. As understanding the story of Gensomaden, Son Goku is the strongest demon with the ability to kill Gods.
